Thanks for the link. A really good message. Steven Universe has a lot of good music, and you’re really good at extracting the heart of good fiction and sharing it.

I’ve got Seasons 2 & 3 of Steven Universe still on my list to finish watching!

    That’s a great show! I still haven’t started the 2nd season. No reason I can’t. 🙂

Edit to add for those who haven’t seen it… Steven Universe seems like a super hero show, but the focus isn’t much on the action. It covers emotional and relationship topics with heart. I include it as an example of an early sign of a shift in trends. I think we’re going to move away from “harsh” “shocking” media, towards gentle, emotionally-intelligent media.

I also include Legend of Kora in this list of examples. Exciting, interesting, fun, but also displays good people being good to one another, in spite of their differences.

    The images aren’t showing up… 403 forbidden! So it’s a permissions thing.

I did chainmail awhile back. I still have all the supplies. I mostly just made bracelets.

I’m terrible at “gardening” but when I owned my house, I did some naturescaping. That was pretty fun. I learned about a lot of western PNW native plants that like heat and sunlight. I also got my yard certified as a Wildlife Habitat. I encouraged native bees to keep away the wasps. All of my plants (even the non-native ones) were drought-tolerant, so after the first few months to get the plants established, I never had to water.
